Nikki

Hello Stirlingites!
Today we have an interview from ...France!

Rene
Welcome to our Interview, would you please introduce yourself?
Nikki
Hi! I'm Nikki. My Twitter is @NikkiStirling_. I'm not on any other social media.
Rene
Which Country are you from?
Nikki
I'm from France.
Rene
A short introduction about yourself?
Nikki
I'm a 21-year-old man. I'm French, and I have Spanish and Italian origins. I understand (a little bit) Spanish, but I don't know a single word in Italian, hahah. I love music, video games, films, TV series, books, and new technologies. Also, I like to play the bass guitar. I played the guitar when I was a kid, and I even tried the drums.
Rene
When did you learn about Lindsey or started listening to her music?
Nikki
The first time I heard about Lindsey was in January 2016. A very good friend of mine sent me the link of a YouTube playlist that she made just for me. She wanted me to discover some things that she loves. There were around 15 videos in the playlist, and one of them was Spontaneous Me by Lindsey Stirling. When I listened to it, I was like: "Hey, it sounds good! Who's that girl?" Later, I searched for Lindsey's channel, found it, and decided to listen to the most famous song (Crystallize). So I did, and guess what? I LOVED IT.
Rene
Are you a Stirlingite?
Nikki
Yes!
Rene
When did you switch from simply listening to the music to beeing a fan?
Nikki
I became a huge fan after attending her concert. Before the concert, she was just an artist that I liked, among many others. I didn't know anything about her and her life, I didn't even know about Gavi, and I only knew something like 5 or 6 of her songs. But right after the concert, I became a Stirlingite and started to KSLL! I turned into a real fanboy, haha.
Rene
Did you read the book? How did you like it?
Nikki
I recently bought her book, so I'm currently reading it, and I can tell you that I love it already!
Rene
Does Lindsey have a special place in your life ?
Nikki
Yes she does. In my life and in my heart too. Actually, there's not a day without at least a little bit of Lindsey. Whether it's her music, her book, her videos, her film, her live Blu-Ray, her tweets... You know. She's always here. She always brightens up my day (I mean, most of my days are pretty good but she always adds something that makes it even better). Also, there is that song, Shatter Me, which I kind of relate to. I think we all have our own battles, our own struggles. I have mine too. And this song really means something to me. When I feel like I'm losing control over myself, I like to sing this song. It helps.
Rene
How did you like the Documentary ?
Nikki
I've seen the Brave Enough film several times. I loved it. Like Lindsey said, I felt all the feels. It was so touching. I had tears in my eyes (something that has NEVER happened to me before, when I watch a film). This is a great film. And I love the fact that she shares her story, her life, with us. It brings us closer to her.
Rene
What are your three favorite tracks from Lindsey ?
Nikki
How dare you? I know everybody says that, but I'm gonna say that too: Man, this is so hard to pick just 3! But ok, let's see... My first favorite must be Crystallize, because this is the song that made me love Lindsey's music, and the very first song of her that I loved. For my second favorite, I'll say it's Beyond The Veil. That's the first song she played at the concert, and that was amazing. So powerful. I literally couldn't breathe. And my third favorite... let's say First Light. It has a really cool vibe that I love.
Rene
Have you been to a concert?
Nikki
Yes! I saw Lindsey in Toulouse, France, on March 31, 2017. First concert of my life. Best night ever! I will never forget.
Rene
Have you attended a meet&greet?
Nikki
Unfortunately not yet, but hopefully one day!
Rene
Three favorites of you!
Nikki
Okay, why not. My favorite film is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, by David Fincher. My favorite video game is Grand Theft Auto IV. And my favorite TV series is The Walking Dead.
Rene
What music do you listen to if not from Lindsey?
Nikki
The first thing you gotta know is that I am a HUGE fan of Green Day and Mötley Crüe. My favorite singer is Avril Lavigne. My favorite underrated singer is Zella Day. And my favorite DJ is Vanic. The second thing you gotta know is that I am a metalhead. I LOVE metal music. From the old bands (like Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth...) to the current bands (like Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold...). In fact, my favorites music genres are: Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, and Punk. But I love many other things: Reggae, Indie, Country, Pop, Dubstep / Electro / Trap / House / DnB / Chillstep, and even a little bit of Rap. You see? I love too many things, hahah. So I'll just stop here, because I can talk about it for hours.
Rene
A personal shoutout to Lindsey?
Nikki
Dear Lindsey, I have so many things to say, I don't even know where to start. I want to say: thank you. Thank you for your music, and thank you for being you. You know, I think I love the person that you are as much as I love your music (which means: A LOT). Before I know you, I didn't like classical instruments (like the violin) and you made me love it. I don't like to dance, but when I see you dancing like that while you're playing, you make me wanna dance. No one has ever made me cry, but you did. You've made me feel things that I've never felt before. You did something to me, but there's no words to explain it. You know, some people say: "I was born in the wrong generation" when they talk about music. I disagree with that. Because EVERY generation has great artists. You ARE a great artist and I'm grateful for living in the same time as you, and grateful for having had the chance to see you performing on stage.
Rene
Another shoutout to the others of the band&crew?
Nikki
What an awesome band and awesome crew Lindsey has! You guys rock! Thank you for making everything possible. You all make a great team. The best team!
Rene
Do you make Fanart?
Nikki
No, I've never made fan art yet. But, one day maybe? Who knows?
Rene
